Thick, heavy-duty 8/9 oz Water Buffalo Leather. 8/9 oz describes the leather thickness, not the weight of the finished belt.
A 1.25" (31.75 mm) wide snap-on replacement belt strap in veg-tanned water buffalo. Built around Japanese Hasi Hato snaps so you can rotate buckles — collector buckles, trophy buckles, dress buckles — without buying a full belt every time.

Sizing
Belt strap size = your worn waist size (often pant size + 2"). Measure from the leather fold (where buckle attaches) on your current belt to the hole you use. Round odd numbers up. Don't measure end-to-end.
Heads up
Buckle not included. Fits a snap-on style buckle made for a 1.25" (31.75 mm) wide strap. Buffalo color and grain vary hide-to-hide; pull-up effect lightens at flex points — that's the pull-up finish at work.

Choose Black, Brass, Nickel, or Gold at no extra cost. Use the hardware finish options where available, or write your preference in "Notes for the seller" before adding to cart. Your selected or requested finish takes priority. Buckle color is selected separately.

Care instructions
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, water, and harsh chemicals. Condition every 6 months with a quality leather conditioner to keep it supple. Buffalo leather will develop a rich patina with wear — that's the character.

So initially I had ordered this belt and it had sadly been stolen from the community lock box, after explaining the situation they were kind enough to send over another belt. I was replacing the leather on a circa 1950s Navajo belt buckle. It's a snug fit but it looks good and I'm very happy. The original leather was just too dry rotted to safely wear.

This belt is beautifully crafted, however, I feel the colors depicted in the listing are off dramatically. I ordered antique brown and the belt I received is deep dark chocolate bordering on black.
